| Proposal Editing |
|
| Proposal editing and
structuring is applied to ensure that the proposal is compliant
with the customer’s instructions and follows a logical sequence,
which evaluators can understand. |
|
| Proposals are often written by several authors of varying ability
and experience. Time constraints are also a factor as writers who
often have daily responsibilities in addition to their proposal
writing tasks. |
|
| MWC can undertake proposal editing so that the proposal is written
as one voice and that the level of content is appropriate to the
subject. Authors tend to inherently know the subject matter and as
such have a tendency to: |
|
| •
|
Write excessive text and fail to graphically display the
sales message
to the customer |
| •
|
Fail to answer
the customers question |
| •
|
Fail to fully
describe features and benefits |
| •
|
Write
colloquialisms, jargon, and acronyms |
|
|
| The above are part of a number of areas where MWC can improve your
proposal. |
|
| The Proposal Editor can work alone or with authors to ensure you
win themes and selling messages are conveyed to the customer. The
editor also reads the whole bid to ensure that all of the
information is presented in the correct manner with no ambiguity
or duplication. |
|
| Proposal Structuring |
|
| The consequences of a badly structured proposal can be disastrous
for bidders. Proposal evaluators, like bidders, are subject to
time constraints. Whilst the technical content of a bid may be
good, evaluators expect solutions to be presented in a clear and
logical order. If information is not readily and easily presented,
then your proposal will be downgraded accordingly. |
|
| MWC works to ensure that the customer’s requirements are
understood from the outset and a clear and appropriate response
structure formulated. One which is understood by internal
stakeholders and external assessors. Defining the structure at an
early stage ensures content development can proceed without delay
and that the time consuming task of restructuring downstream, or
submitting an incoherent proposal is avoided. |
